Major General William Russell Cotney (USAF Ret.)

()Russ Cotney retired as Commander of the Tennessee Air National Guard in 2011 culminating 40 years of faithful and honorable service in the United State Air Force. His many awards and decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal. Cotney is a Command Pilot with more than 10,000 hours flying time. As Commander of the TANG Cotney was responsible for insuring mission readiness of three flying wings and support units comprised of more than 3,600 Airmen and 3.5 billion dollars of equipment and infrastructure.
