Maj. Gen. Fred Dennis Womack, USAF

()A native of McMinn County, Fred Womack has had two successful and extraordinary careers. His distinguished career in  the U.S. Air Force resulted in his becoming Commander of the Tennessee Air National Guard. Womack joined Piedmont Airlines in 1967 retiring in 1989 as Director of Flight Operations and Safety. Gen. Womack is a Senior Consultant to the NTSB and is active in General Aviation and Warbirds of America.
