RICHARD A. BLEVINS

In just six years, Richard Blevins has built an impressive offering of aviation career programs at Northeast State Community College in the Tri-Cities area. He has earned college level and FAA accreditation and certification making NESCC the only community college level FAA Part 147 AMT training program currently in Tennessee. An avionics program is being added in the Fall. The Aviation Technology program moved to a hangar and state of the art teaching facility with access at Tri-Cities Airport in October 2021. Blevins served in the U.S. Air Force for twenty-seven years and prior to joining the staff at NESCC he was Training Manager at Bell Helicopter in Piney Flats for nine years.
